The prison in Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic, has a history of imprisoning workers, Czech patriots, anti-fascist fighters, and others. After the Second World War, it was used for retributive trials and became a place of torture and interrogation under communist rule.
Yet this history remains forgotten.
We're excited to be part of the Immersive Exhibition Behind the Wall, a non-profit project using mainly augmented reality (AR) as an entirely virtual museum. The app aims to erase modern society's debt to the prison and its history of suffering.
